Wildwood Forest & Nature Program

Outdoor adventure- forest education. Research tells us that learning is enhanced when outdoor play is the focus. Dress for the outdoors, rain, snow, or shine.

Wildwood runs Monday to Saturday 9:30am - 12:00pm

in various locations. Check out our calendar page to see what's running!

Quinte West Sager Conservation Area ()

Mondays 9.30-12

WHERE TO GO: We gather at the pavilion by the parking lot. If we are not there, follow the trail past the pavilion, there you will find the Forte's area. 

​

Quinte West Batawa Ski Hill (99 Ski Club Ln)

Tuesdays 9.30-12

WHERE TO GO: We meet at the ‘Dino Dig’ at Batawa Ski Hill

​

Madoc O'Hara Mill Conservation Area (638 Mill Rd)

Special events on the last Wednesday of each month

Plainfield, Belleville Frink Conservation Area (381 Thrasher Rd)

Thursdays 9.30-12

WHERE TO GO: Please park in the smaller parking lot on the south side (boardwalk/marsh side) of Thrasher Road.

Belleville South Potters Creek Conservation Area (2056 Old Highway 2)

Fridays and the last Saturday of each month 9.30-12

WHERE TO GO: We meet on the South side of highway 2 (the side with the bay). 

​

Tales on the Trails

Connecting to nature through literacy and play! Join us for a Storywalk and nature play with a literacy twist.

Little Gardeners (May - Oct)

Join us in exploring our garden and all that we will grow! We learn about all sorts of important things at this all-weather program, such as, how to grow/harvest food and identify different insects and weeds. When we are not tending to our garden you can find us singing, reading books, having a picnic, experimenting with water play and other different science activities.

 

We are back for the 2024 season!

Little Gardeners West - Quinte Alliance Church 

Belleville (373 Bridge St West) 

Wednesdays 1.30-3.30 from June 5th

WHERE TO GO: PLOT #1. Park in the church parking lot. Washrooms available at the church.

Little Gardeners East - Bayview Heights Community Gardens 

Belleville (75 Bay Drive)

Thursdays 9.30-11.30 from June 6th

WHERE TO GO: PLOT #23 & 24. Follow the parking signs and park on the grass away from the garden beds. No washrooms are available at this location.
